Food Podcasts

I want to tell you about a couple of food radio shows that I love to listen to.  Both of these are local AM Shows (on opposite ends of the country from each other) but, thanks to the internet, it is easy to listen to them anywhere.

And TOTALLY FREE.

You can listen to them straight from the computer. You can download the shows and burn them to a CD.  Or even sign up for the Podcasts if you have an MP3 Player.

These shows are what I have been listening to while driving back and forth to work.  Put's me in a good mood.

Not going to say much about each show -- I would rather you check out the websites and see for yourself.

1. KCRW's Good Food - Evan Kleiman who owns Angeli Caffe on Melrose in Los Angeles and is the founder of Slow Food, Los Angeles is the host of this enjoyable program. Each week she delves into several subjects with different guests. She often explores where food comes from and new foods we should try. There are usually a few local interest subjects, but they shouldn't distract you from the rest of the show.

2. The Restaurant Guys - Mark Pascal and Francis Schott have have been in the restaurant and wine business on the high end for about 20 years each. They own two restaurants, Stage Left Restaurant and Catherine Lombardi, in New Brunswick, NJ. This is a daily show but they only put one or two shows up on the internet each week.

Their restaurants are very well-regarded in the industry and so are they. Consequently they get some of the biggest names in food as guests - Thomas Keller, Mario Batali, Gael Greene, Charlie Trotter, Eric Ripert, Iron Chefs Cat Cora and Michael Symon and Tops Chef's Tom Colicchio have all "stopped by." It's all great fun.

I hope you will check these out. I know you will love them as much as I do.
