Green Chili Wontons - The ULTIMATE Party Appetizer

This is the one! These are the real deal. The Ultimate! Serve Green Chili Wontons at your next party and no one will ever forget it. Don’t be put off by the small number of ingredients or the ease of making these. That is just the icing on the cake.

If they were five times as expensive and ten times as hard to make, I would still make them for every party. They are that good.

Don’t take my word for it. They are so easy and cheap don’t wait for a party, make a batch tonight and see if they don’t immediately jump to the top of your must-make party list.






Weekend Griller Tip: 

The only thing wrong with these...and it's so minor, I hesitate to even mention it...is that they don't travel so well. Okay, now you know. They don't travel well after or even before they are deep fried. But don't fret. Serve them when you host the neighborhood BBQ. Or, if you can arrange it, take along the ingredients and a deep fryer and fix them on site. No one will ever forget that.


Green Chili Wontons

Ingredients:
  • ½ cup canned Green Chilis
  • ¼ cup canned Jalapeno’s
  • 1 pound of Monterey Jack Chesse, shredded
  • 1 Package of Wonton Wrappers

Directions:
  1. Blend the green chilis, jalapenos and cheese.
  2. Put two tablespoons of the mixture on one corner of the wonton wrapper and fold that corner over.
  3. Fold the corners on the right and left.
  4. Wet the remaining corner with a bit of water and fold it down to stick and make a roll.
  5. Deep fry in 350-degree oil for one minute or until lightly brown.

That is it! Now serve them hot and become a Party God.

This recipe makes about 18 Wontons but you may want to double it.  Or triple it.
