Orange Ginger Sauce
Orange Ginger Sauce is a sweet and tangy sauce that can be used for marinade, basting and
dipping. It goes very well with pork and poultry and is especially good on kabobs.
Orange Ginger Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Orange Juice
- Grated Peel of 1 Orange (Optional)
- 4 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- ½ cup of Tomato Ketchup
- ½ cup White Wine Vinegar
- 4 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 4 tablespoons Molasses
- 4 cloves of Garlic, crushed very well
- 1 small Onion, finely grated
- 2 tablespoons of Ginger, grated
- 1 - 2 Chilies, seeded and chopped or chili powder to taste
Directions:
- Bring orange juice to a boil in large pan, removing any foam on surface.
- Boil until reduced by half.
- Add all the other ingredients.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
Weekend Griller Tip:
If sauce is too thin, dissolve a teaspoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of vinegar and
stir into sauce.
