I recently neutered by pit bull, Rufio, who turned 2 in February. He was fixed just over a month ago. The surgery was at the beginning of March. I was worried that having him fixed after two years might alter his personality and it looks like my fears may have been correct. He is a loving pit bull who is devoted to his master (me) and has never shown signs of aggression until after the surgery, so try not to be biased due to the deceiving pit bull stereotype . The only positive thing I have noticed since the surgery is the obvious inability to reproduce (which was much needed because he spends a considerable amount of time playing with an unfixed female dog).

Since the surgery, Rufio has been more aggressive (i.e. nipping/lunging for people he knows or just met in a friendly atmosphere, violent barking at strangers who pass the parked car, etc), where as before he was only aggressive in appropriate scenarios (i.e. possibility of an intruder, being protective of my safety/fear that I might be in danger, etc).
Also, he has been urinating inside homes of places which are familiar to him – not new territories! He is DEFINITELY potty trained and as a puppy he potty trained very quickly so I’m not sure what’s going on here. It’s almost as if he’s taken a step back in his training.

There have been some other instances in which Rufio has displayed strange mannerisms or actions that don’t match his personality, and it all started after the surgery. Does anyone know what’s going on? Has anyone heard of something similar to this happen before? Please help! I’m in fear of having to give him up if he doesn’t begin behaving like he used to. I feel like he’s had a lobotomy!!

Anyone know the recipe for sweet tea used by Sonny’s Real Pit BBQ restauants? Once I master that, I’ll be able to make my own Arnold Palmer (half sweet tea, half lemonade) on these scorching hot Summer days…

I consider myself a great cook, and I refuse to be daunted by something so simple. My iced tea never comes out like theirs… wrong flavor… not enough sugar… too weak… too strong… Nothing works right. I’ve tried Lipton, Luzianne, Red Rose, Salada, as well as some gourmet teas… I’ve even asked at the restaurant itself. I’d appreciate your help, and please don’t tell me to go buy a Mr.Coffee Iced Tea Maker machine. I don’t have the money or the storage space! And yes I already know Arnold Palmer sells his tea/lemonade in stores… Thanks!!
