Classic Daiquiri
It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can't remember if
it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth. - George Burns
Another of the classic cocktails invented in Cuba during the Golden Age. After the Spanish-American
War a team of American engineers spent the hot summer months in the Cuban town of Daiquiri. According to local
legend it was this group that first mixed up the now classic rum, grapefruit juice, lime and sugar.
As with the Margarita, there are almost as many variations as there are bartenders -- but THIS is
the original recipe.
Enjoy.
