Lemon Drop Martinis are fun to make and more fun to drink.
The classic Lemon Drop Martini (recipe below) is a very sour and very strong concoction meant to be
sipped. Do not mistake it for a margarita style drink or you'll be sorry.

Lemon Drop Martini Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces Vodka
- 1/2 ounce Triple Sec
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
- Ice cubes
- Superfine sugar for dipping the glass
- Twisted peel of Lemon or sliced Lemon for garnish
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and all the ingredients.
- Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Pour the mixture, with ice, into a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
- Add a twisted lemon peel or lemon wheel to garnish if desired.
Oprah Winfrey loves Martinis. On her show, Oprah's Gardens: A Private Tour, she included this wonderfully
refreshing variation of the Lemon Drop.
Legend's Lemon Drop MartiniIngredients
- The juice of 6 Lemons
- 4 tablespoons Sugar
- 6 fresh Mint Leaves
- 4 shots of Vodka
- Ice in shaker
- A Sugar-rimmed Martini glass
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and all the ingredients except mint.
- Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Pour the mixture, with ice, into a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
- Garnish with the mint.
