The Madagascar Mood Shifter is a sweeter, snapper version of the classic Margarita. The fruit juices teamed with
the mine had wonderful cooling properties for those mercury-elevated parties of late summer.

Madagascar Mood Shifter
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces Vanilla Tequila (see below)
- 3/4 ounce Citronge or Orange Liqueur
- 2 ounces fresh Tangerine Juice
- 1 ounce Sweet & Sour (buy this by the bottle or make your own -- Click Here)
- 3 to 4 fresh Mint Leaves
- Ice
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and all the ingredients.
- Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into an ice filled glass.
- Garnish with a tangerine slice and some mint leaves if desired.
Vanilla TequillaIngredients
- 4 Vanilla Beans, cut into small pieces
- 1 liter good-quality Silver Tequila
Directions
- Add the vanilla bean pieces to the bottle of tequila and cap tightly.
- Let stand at room temperature for at least a week. Shake gently from time to time.
- When ready to use --
- Pour carefully so the vanilla stays in the bottle.
- Strain as you pour to catch the vanilla pieces.
- Strain the whole bottle and discard the vanilla pieces before you start.
